This is not only my favorite scent but Yankee Candle Company doesn’t make it anymore so I was not giving up on that little bit of extra wax!</p> <p>I had a votive that my parents gave me for Christmas and decided to make my mulberry candle into a new one! I went to Michaels and bought a pack of wicks for about $2, most people say you need the tack to hold on the wick to the bottom of the votive but I found it was fine without. </p> <p>I boiled water in a large pot and let the glass candle sit in the water until the wax was completely melted down, then, using an oven mitt, I removed the candle from the boiling water and poured the wax into my new votive. So easy! I made these for multiple people for Christmas this year. Simply place a record over an upside down bowl and place in the oven. No need for a specific temp or time. Just keep an eye on the record, it’ll warm up and droop around the bowl. I made all three the same way with the same bowl as a mold and they all came out differently! I found a TON of old crayons from when I was little and wanted to do something productive with them. I’ve heard of people melting crayons to make a giant one, but I still don’t need a giant crayon in my life either.</p> <p>I decided to make crayon magnets/paperweights (whichever you want to use them for)</p> <p>Supplies:<br/>-Broken crayon pieces with the wrapper removed<br/>- Silicone baking tray<br/>- Crystal Clear Coat Spray<br/>- Adhesive magnets</p> <p>1. First I broke up the crayons and seperated them into like colors.</p> <p>2. Next I made color combinations that I would want to use and placed the pieces into the muffin mold</p> <p>3. Baking the crayons is tricky because I found that different types of crayons were unique in their melting time. My advice is to heat the oven at 350 degrees and simply keep an eye on the trays. Once the crayons turn soupy, they are done.</p> <p>4. Let the crayon mixture cool for a couple minutes and then put them in the freezer for 30-40 minutes.</p> <p>5. After they have hardened pop them out of the tray (this is why I like the silicone trays as opposed to metal, I can move the tray around and get the crayons out easily)</p> <p>6. Make sure you are in a well ventilated area and give the crayons an even layer of clear coat spray to seal in the wax and prevent color from rubbing off on other objects.</p> <p>7. Let dry for 24 hours</p> <p>8. If you are making a paperweight, congrats you are done! If not, get a magnet with adhesive on one side and stick it to the back.</p> <p>9. I love anything sparkly and you will notice A LOT of glitter projects in this blog. This is one of my favorites so far that I’ve done and will be repeating multiple times!</p> <p>Supplies:<br/>- 1 pair of flats (any color will do)<br/>- 1 container of multi-color glitter <br/>- Mod podge<br/>- Sponge brush<br/>- Clear coat spray</p> <p>Step 1. Mix together a healthy amount of mod podge and glitter. You will use a lot so don’t worry about over using.</p> <p>Step 2. Brush on your first coat of glitter and modge podge. The flats will be a milky color from the modge podge and there won’t be much glitter but don’t worry because you will do many coats. Each coat takes about 20-25 minutes to dry.</p> <p>Step 3. I did about 4 coats and then did a few touch ups to make sure that I had the entire surface covered. This is why they can be any color, the glitter covers the shoe enough that no one will know.</p> <p>Step 4. Let the flats dry over night and spray a generous layer of crystal clear coat on them the next morning allowing that to dry over night as well.</p> <p>I used flats with a bow on the top which proved to be difficult.
